My name is Genesis and I have a confession. I LOVE denim. Joe’s Jeans. Frame. DL1961. The mere names of these brands fill me with excitement and delight. In my closet, I have 4 pairs of Joe’s and 2 pairs of DL1961. Why? I feel better about myself when I’m wearing a flattering piece of denim. Nothing gives me body confidence like a good pair of jeans. The right denim hugs your curves, smooths your fupa, and boosts your mood.
My love of jeans began my sophomore year of college after I began experiencing body acne. Suddenly, I could no longer wear denim! The rough material would irritate my skin and cause breakouts. For a long time, I could only wear joggers or satin pants. However, I missed wearing jeans. After some research, I discovered not all denim is created equal. Moreover, high-quality denim was often much softer than the Old Navy jeans I was used to.
However, high-quality denim isn’t cheap. Joe’s Jeans can cost over $200. Frame jeans can cost even more. And DL1961? The prices will make your wallet cry. I wasn’t deterred. Once I realized what type of denim I needed, I began looking for deals. Although I have a lot of quality denim, I’ve never paid over $125 for a pair of jeans. Here’s how:
Shop at assortment stores:
Every piss-poor fashionista needs to shop at Nordstrom Rack. They sell high-quality denim for a fraction of the price. Additionally, their denim clearance section is magnificent. I’ve found jeans that retail for $200 and bought them for $65. If you carefully look through their selection, you are bound to find denim that flatters your body.
Browse Clearance (online)
All denim brands have an online clearance page. This is a great place to peruse periodically. Once per quarter, I scan Joe’s Jeans clearance page for deals. I found my favorite pair of Joe’s that way. It was initially priced at $200 but I bought it for $115! As a deal hunter, I highly recommend checking the clearance page of your favorite brands regularly. You are likely to find affordable gems when you look for them.
Sign Up for Email Lists:
I know, I know. Nobody likes a full inbox. However, companies give subscribers priority access to special sales. They will even let you know if an item that you previously watched was on sale! The message will read something like “the item you previously viewed just went on sale, purchase now!” This feature has saved me a buck (or two).
Although I’ve got many good pieces of denim, I hope to get more. I’ve fallen in love with wide-leg and flare jeans. They always look so elegant and polished. Where did you get your favorite pair of jeans? In the comments, please describe them to me!
